As part of the Religious Heritage Days, the Roland Gauthier Archives and Documentation Centre invites you to a special exhibit on devotion to Saint Joseph.

Since the shrine’s inception in 1904, votive prayer to Saint Joseph has been one of the main motivations for thousands of pilgrims to climb the mountain and present their requests: healing from illness and injury, protection of the home, assistance in finding employment… 120 years later, devotion to Saint Joseph is still evident in various requests and practices, the traces of which are preserved in the shrine’s archives.

Drawing from a variety of documents from the early 20th century to the present day, the exhibit will showcase the multiple forms of devotion to Saint Joseph: rare and old books, correspondence, unpublished photographs, and many other documents will be on display for a unique encounter.
