March 10 to 13

Father Éric Robichaud was born on November 10, 1969, in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. At the age of 17, he was admitted to the community of the Sons of Mary, of which he was a member until the age of 35. He held various responsibilities as secretary, sacristan, and master of religious ceremonies in Italy, Austria, and Jamaica, before being ordained a priest on June 23, 1996, at the Co-Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Cornwall, Ontario, by Mgr Eugène P. LaRocque. After leaving the community, he requested to join the diocesan clergy of the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall in Ontario, where he had served since December 1995, acting as associate priest at Sacred Heart Parish in Alexandria and St. Theresa of Lisieux Parish in Cornwall, and as administrator priest for Saint-Martin-de-Tours Parish in Glen Robertson, Saint-Paul Parish in Dalkeith, and Saint-Alexandre Parish in Lochiel. From 2009 to 2020, he served as pastor at various parishes, including Notre-Dame-des-Anges in Moose Creek, Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire in Crysler, Sacred Heart in Alexandria, St. Mary of the Assumption in Green Valley, and St. Martin-de-Tours in Glen Robertson. Following the amalgamation of the dioceses of Alexandria-Cornwall with the Archdiocese of Ottawa, he was one of the first priests to be transferred from one diocese to the other. He was appointed pastor of Saint-Pierre-Apôtre Parish in Hawkesbury in August 2020, a position he has held since then. Éric holds Bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and theology from the Pontifical Angelicum University in Rome, Italy, and more recently, in 2009, a Master’s degree in pastoral theology from the School of Theology and Ministry in Boston, USA.
